The Industry opened its doors in July, at 1119 S. Collins St. in Plant City as an eatery and entertainment concept where locals can gather and connect over food and live music.

“The dictionary defines an industry as a group of companies, held together by a binding cause, or a similar goal. We became an Industry, because for us, local is a way of life, not just a place,” reads The Industry’s website. The restaurant does so by regularly linking with local businesses to cultivate relationships and ensure the success of the community.

Recently the concept partnered with Brick City Bricks (local new and used LEGO store) during its Monday Movie Night event to show The Lego Movie on September 19.

When it comes to food, the growing menu hosts items like sandwiches, ribs, flatbreads, as well as small bites like salsa and guac, chop salad, hummus and pita, charcuterie and prosciutto-wrapped asparagus.

The dessert menu is stacked with classic options like caramel apple cinnamon rolls, key lime pie, a seasonal cobbler and carrot cake. Diners with a sweet tooth can also opt for the cookie of the month served with a glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream. There’s the Industrial Shake, similar to Babe’n Babe’s Freak Shake – which is a milkshake topped with a fat slice of cake and adorned with a sparkler. Ideal for any celebration or Instagram feed.

Breakfast service is from 8-10:45 a.m. daily with eats like candied bacon, omelets, waffles, and the signature BAE Sandwich made with bacon, eggs your way and served up on a biscuit with a side of fruit.

Need something a little more exciting than grabbing a bite to eat? The restaurant hosts Monday Movie Night and Thursday Trivia weekly to keep those who need a sensory overload while they dine.

Live music is also a staple at The Industry, with local talent taking the stage every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night.

Hours for the newish concept are 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and closed Sunday. If you’re not quite comfortable joining in on all the fun, you can grab your eats to go.
