Out of the many symptoms that are associated with Multiple Sclerosis, Selma Blair in an interview discusses that one symptom that affected her, which went on to help her diagnose the condition in time.
“It was on that runway, with the thrill of walking in the show, that I suddenly lost feeling in my left leg,” she told the magazine. “But I was on a runway and thinking, What do I do?” the actress says.
She took to Instagram and wrote in her caption, “When I first stepped out. I couldn’t feel the ground or how to lift my left leg. My brain was trying to compute. As I walked the runway, stunned.”
Six months later, Selma was diagnosed with MS. The actress had been experiencing the symptoms for years. However, she took them for other reasons. Only when her doctor, through an MRI, found lesions on her brain, she realised she had Multiple Sclerosis.
The actress made it open on an Instagram post saying, “I am disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken GPS.”
