Microsoft will release the latest client software package along with Windows 11. What is more interesting is that Microsoft is offering Office 2021 as a standalone version for businesses and customers who do not wish to go with a Microsoft 365 subscription.
This year’s launch would witness few additional tools from the Microsoft 365 subscription service being added to Office. These tools include collaboration features like co-authoring and also the ability to send updates automatically while editing files.
Users will be elated to know that a number of apps will get a fresh look owing to their redesigned look like getting rounded window corners as well as a neutral color palette.
There will also be more stock images, a search box for commands, support for OpenDocument format (ODF) 1.3, a number of performance improvements, an updated draw tab, and much more.

Microsoft said that Office 2021 will be rolled out on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices. However, when it comes to macOS, Office 2021 will be supporting only the last three major releases on macOS.
However, those having Office 2013 will have to upgrade it to Office 2021 if they are looking forward to upgrading to Windows 11.
Microsoft 365 and the Office bundles will also include the company’s video-chat app – Teams. This app is already available on Windows 11. However, with this release, the Teams app will make its way to Windows 10 as well as macOS users.
