A pair of Canadians have medals in sight on the girls’s skeleton world championships.

Mirela Rahneva and Jane Channell sit in second and third place, respectively, after two runs Thursday on the competitors in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Germany’s Susanne Kreher presently occupies the gold-medal place, with Dutch racer Kimberley Bos lingering simply 4 one-hundredths of a second behind Channell in fourth.
