“There are hundreds of demonstrations in The Hague every year that go off without a hitch. But a demonstration is not a licence to commit criminal offenses.”

Extinction Rebellion activists, nevertheless, vowed to proceed with the protests, during which they demand an finish to authorities tax breaks for corporations linked to fossil fuels.
