A SERIES of community sport sessions are starting up for local youngsters.
The sessions, run by Aura Wales will run across Flintshire and will include multi-sport sessions, dodgeball and ‘parent and child sessions’.
Some of the sessions are free of charge, others cost a small fee after a free first week.
They will run as follows:
Hawarden –
The sessions will be based at Hawarden Tennis Courts/Gladstone playing fields on a Monday and are as follows:
3.30pm-4.20pm – Multi sports sessions for boys and girls aged 11-13 and is free of charge
4.30pm-5.30pm – Flintshire Dodgeball Club for boys and girls aged 8-13 and is £1.50 per session with the first session being free
5.30-6.30pm – Girls only multi sports session for ages 11-14 and is free of charge
No advanced booking is necessary, children just turn up but will need to fill out a sign-up sheet for track and trace
Hope –
The sessions will be based at The Willows Park in Hope (opposite Ysgol Estyn) on a Tuesday and are as follows:
3.30pm-4.20pm – Multi sports sessions for boys and girls aged 11-13 and is free of charge
4.30pm-5.30pm – Flintshire Dodgeball Club for boys and girls aged 8-13 and is £1.50 per session, with the first session being free
5.30-6.30pm – Girls only multi sports session for ages 11-14 and is free of charge
Don’t need to book can just turn up but will need to fill out a sign-up sheet for track and trace
Buckley –
The sessions will be based at The Buckley Common and Buckley Leisure Centre on a Wednesday and are as follows:
3.30pm-4.20pm – Multi sports sessions for boys and girls aged 11-13 and is free of charge – Buckley Common
5pm-6pm – Girls only multi sports session for ages 11-14 and is free of charge – Buckley Leisure Centre tennis courts
6pm-7pm – Turn up and Play session which will be a variety of sports each week for boys and girls aged 11-14 and is free of charge – Buckley Leisure Centre tennis courts
No need to book, just turn up and fill out a sign-up sheet for track and trace
Hawarden Cricket Club –
There will be three sessions on a Saturday morning and are as follows:
9.15am-10am – 0-3 parent and child sports session, parents to join in session
10.15am-11am – 4-7 years multi sports session
11.15am-12pm – 4-7 multi sports session

The Willows Park, Hope –
There will be 3 sessions on a Sunday morning and are as follows:
9.15am-10am – 0-3 parent and child sports session, parents to join in session
10.15am-11am – 4-7 years multi sports session
