Actress Alpana Buch, who is best referred to as Leela from Anupamaa, was just lately in Lucknow to shoot for a tune. Then I got married and had kids and left working. I did theatre but not a hardcore one as I had family commitments. I started working again in 2009 and it’s been only 13 years of working for me in this industry. I want to do everything that comes my way from ads and films to theatre and TV shows,” she says.
However, Alpana, who has at all times been a personality artiste, says Anupamaa modified her profession graph utterly. “Even though I did many shows, Anupamaa has been a game changer for my career. However, not many people know that we were committed to three months for Anupamaa as we didn’t know whether such a show would work on television or not. Take the example of our shows where most character artists are given due importance and screen space,” she says.

Talking about her Lucknow go to she mentioned, “Lucknow Nawabon ka shehar hai which is known for the ‘pehle aap’ culture. The food of Lucknow is the best. Also, the kind of cold waether that is here in Lucknow, we Mumbaikars travel to Manali for such a weather. I also saw Lucknow University properly lit up in the night and it looked so beautiful.”
