Neosho volleyball has steadily improved its win total each of the past three seasons. This year the Wildcats will look win double digit matches.
“We have to continue to keep working hard and focus on keeping our priorities in order,” Neosho head coach Ann Landrum said. “Our goal has always been to get better one ball at a time; improving on skill level, knowledge of the game and program development.”
Seven seniors return to lead Neosho this year. That group is led by Savannah Merriman who will be a four-year starter and a returning all-conference honorable mention selection. Brylee King is also a four-year starter. Kaylee Butler, Abby Jarvis, Andi Johnson, Shelby Roberts and Melia Robertson round out the returning seniors with varsity experience.

Juniors Lexi Laney, Rylee Amato and Kylee Schmidt along with sophomore Meredith Baldwin and Karlee Ellick are new players to watch moving up from junior varsity.
“Our young kids are working hard,” Landrum said. “It’s fun to see them competing for spots. It keeps everyone on their toes not taking things for granted. We are also fortunate to have a freshmen team this year. We have worked hard to build a program kids want to be a part of and we are feeling pretty blessed.”
Neosho opens the season on Sept. 1 at home against Seneca.
“We are excited about our upcoming season and look forward to getting to step on the court and play for Wildcat Nation,” Landrum said. “We are so supported and cared for. We welcome the opportunity to play for our school and community.”
