NEW DELHI (AP) — The Indian military says a firing incident inside a navy station has killed a minimum of 4 troopers in northern India. The military says the world was cordoned off and sealed in Bhatinda, a city in Punjab state. The assertion didn’t give particulars. Indian media stories quoted state cops as saying that the incident within the military camp didn’t look like a terror assault. The capturing came about because the state is on a excessive safety alert a day forward of Baisakhi, a significant Sikh and Hindu competition marking the beginning of the harvesting season. Punjab had suffered a bloody insurgency in Nineteen Eighties that led to the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards in 1984.
