Georgia Technology Authority Appoints Chief Cloud Officer

The Georgia Technology Authority has expanded its leadership team, adding Dmitry Kagansky, a former senior solutions architect at Amazon Web Services, as its chief cloud officer.

Prior to working with the state technology agency, Kagansky worked with state and local government to optimize cloud services, implementations and migrations with AWS.

He was formerly the executive vice president of development for Star2Star Communications, a cloud-based communications company. As executive vice president, Kagansky worked with QA and program management groups to deliver customer- and partner-facing communications products to small and midsize businesses and enterprise customers.


He also served as the federal chief technology officer for Quest Software, where he focused on providing technical leadership and guidance to the company’s public-sector group.Kagansky holds a BBA in banking and finance from Hofstra University and an MBA in management of information systems and production and operations management from the University of Georgia.
