NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders’ victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru within the Indian Premier League 2024 conflict on Friday was nothing wanting spectacular, as they registered a commanding seven-wicket win. Led by explosive performances from Venkatesh Iyer and Sunil Narine, KKR chased down the 183-run goal set by RCB with ease, showcasing their prowess within the event.

The scintillating batting show from KKR made them the primary crew to win away from dwelling on this IPL season. However, amidst KKR’s triumph, considerations have been raised about RCB’s lackluster bowling efficiency.



Former cricketers, together with former England captain Michael Vaughan, weighed in on RCB’s bowling assault, expressing skepticism about their probabilities within the event. Vaughan prompt that RCB’s present bowling lineup may pose challenges to their title aspirations within the IPL, highlighting the necessity for enchancment of their bowling division.

Echoing related sentiments, former Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Tom Moody urged RCB to strengthen their bowling unit by using two abroad pacers to boost their possibilities of success.

India’s former bowling all-rounder Irfan Pathan additionally criticized RCB’s bowling technique, notably questioning the choice to not make the most of all-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s bowling capabilities towards KKR.

“Faf should have bowled Maxwell in the power play. KKR did bowl Anukul in the power play which worked in a way of economy,” Pathan remarked.
