Program Goals and Objectives

The targets and aims of this one-year residency are to:

1. Support excellence in interprofessional training.

a. The MHNP residents will interact in interprofessional collaboration to grasp roles, obligations, and boundaries to efficient interprofessional crew efficiency.

b. Program school and residents will follow interpersonal abilities to reinforce teamwork inside interprofessional groups to advertise moral and secure Veteran-centric care.

2. Incorporate ideas of Veteran-centric care into residency coaching.

a. Residents will outline and analyze Veteran-centric approaches to entire well being care.

b. Program school and residents will consider evidence-based findings to mirror, appraise, and modify follow in offering Veteran-centric care.

3. Enhance practice-based studying and enchancment.

a. Program school will plan, implement, and consider residents’ intensive scientific experiences.

Eligibility Requirements

· U.S. Citizen

· Recent graduate (inside 12 months of program begin date) from an accredited superior follow psychiatric-mental well being nurse practitioner program

· ANCC licensed as a psychiatric-mental well being nurse practitioner (obtained by begin of residency)

· Eligible for an Alabama nurse practitioner license
