From September this yr, devotees will be capable to go to Mount Kailash, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva, from the Indian territory.

Officials stated that the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has began the work on reducing the street from KMVN Huts in Nabhidhang in Pithoragarh district to Lipulekh cross on the India-China border, which shall be accomplished by September.

Vimal Goswami, Chief Engineer of BRO’s Diamond Project, stated, “We have started the work of cutting the road from KMVN Huts to Lipulekh Pass in Nabhidhang, about six and a half kilometres long.” After the completion of the street, ‘Kailash View Point’ shall be prepared alongside the street.

Hirak Project has been given the accountability of creating ‘Kailash View Point’ by the Indian authorities.

Mr Goswami stated that loads of road-cutting work has been achieved and if the climate is beneficial, it will likely be accomplished by September.

The Kailash-Mansarovar yatra by the Lipulekh Pass, which was postponed as a result of Covid pandemic, has not resumed.

Such an extended stall has contributed to the efforts by the Indian authorities in forging another path for the devotees to entry Mount Kailash.
