While the thriller behind police ASI Gopalkrushna Das killing Health Minister Naba Das is but to be cracked, the Crime Branch on Tuesday visited Gopalkrushna’s ancestral residence at Jaleswarpur village beneath B N Pur police limits in Berhampur. 

Gopalkrushna’s spouse has been staying at their Jaleswarpur village home because the homicide of the Health Minister. To confirm the explanation behind the homicide, the CB staff visited Gopalkrushna’s home and interrogated his spouse and different relations. 

On the opposite hand, one other staff of the Crime Branch on Tuesday visited the crime spot close to Gandhi Chowk in Brajarajnagar. The staff interrogated Naba Das’ driver and private safety officer (PSO).   

The Crime Branch is looking for out solutions to the questions like why and the way the accused ASI killed the Minister. 

Notably, ASI Gopal Das was deployed for site visitors administration at Gandhi Chowk on Sunday, as late Health Minister Naba Das was scheduled to attend a programme close by. At the scheduled time. Naba Das reached the spot in his car. As he was alighting from his automotive, Gopal Das got here near him and opened fireplace on the Minister, resulting in a chaotic scenario. 

Following the shot, Gopal Das was instantly overpowered by the safety personnel and the severely injured Minister was rushed to Jharsuguda DHH. From there, he was airlifted to a non-public hospital in Bhubaneswar. However, he succumbed to accidents whereas present process remedy. 

The Crime Branch arrested the accused ASI on Monday. The similar day, he was dismissed from his service. Later within the day, amid tight safety, the Crime Branch produced Das earlier than the JMFC’s residential court docket in Jharsuguda. While the CB sought a seven-day remand for Das, the court docket reserved its order. After the manufacturing, he was taken to Jharsuguda sub-jail.
