SALISBURY, Md.- For many high school and college athletes who have been training for their fall seasons, they are now faced with the reality that their season most likely won’t happen.
At One More Rep in Salisbury, owner JD Cherry, connected the athletes that have been training with them with another professional trainer of Atlanta, Chip Smith, who works with NFL athletes to share a message of positivity.
And why it’s important to continue to work hard and remain hopeful during this trying time.
“You gotta be hopeful, you just gotta have your head up, you gotta be ready no matter what,” Masyn Lilly, incoming freshman at University of Delaware, said.
“I’ve tried to keep motivation to the kids, try to let them know that this is not going to continue, it will come to and end, to keep working hard to keep training hard,” Cherry said.
Looking towards this fall season, Cherry said that he thinks a plan should be made soon, so that the student athletes aren’t left in limbo.
