New Delhi:
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR is unstoppable. It continues to “roar” and “rise” at the box office, both domestic and worldwide, with its intriguing plot and amazing star cast. RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, is a masterpiece in every way. After making Hollywood personalities like the Russo Brothers, Scott Derrickson, James Gunn and Joe Dante, among others, go gaga over its story, the film has found new fans in Seth Rogen and his mom Sandy Rogen.
Actor-comedian Seth, who recently watched RRR on Netflix, recommended the film to his mom Sandy and she later shared her review on Twitter. “Seth told us to watch this movie on Netflix called RRR. Well, I highly recommend it. 3 hours,” she wrote and joined the list of RRR global fans.

RRR is a fictitious story that is set in the 1920s and is based on two legendary freedom fighters – Alluri Sitarama Raju (played by Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (portrayed by Jr NTR), who fought against the British Raj. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
Before Sandy Rogen, actor Joseph Morgan and Patton Oswalt, author Jackson Lanzing, as well as, filmmakers James Gunn, Joe Dante, Scott Derrickson, Robert Cargill, Josh Raby, Larry Karaszewski, Aaron Stewart-Ahn and others lauded SS Rajamouli for creating an “incredible” film like RRR.
Director Christopher Miller, in June, described the movie as an “over-the-top ridiculous insanity” film and wrote: “RRR is over-the-top ridiculous insanity and it is amazing. It’s like Michael Bay and Baz Luhrmann and Stephen Chow teamed up to make a movie. It was 3 hours long but it could have been 4 hours and I would’ve still enjoyed it.”

“Had a bit of time off shooting and Persia White and I watched two incredible movies. RRR and Everything everywhere all at once. Both were astounding. We laughed and cried and gasped in amazement. Just stunning cinema,” wrote The Vampire Diaries star Joseph Morgan, who was awestruck after watching RRR.

In a separate tweet, Joseph Morgan stated that he “loved” the film, “I really loved it. Just a joy from start to finish.”

Actor-comedian Patton Oswalt, who watched the film in May on Netflix, said, “If this isn’t playing near you in IMAX then this is the next best way to watch it. RRR is insane.”

Later, Patton Oswalt replied to a thank you note by the official page of RRR film and said, “You guys are out of your minds, you should not be allowed to make films, and I can’t wait to see what you do next.”

“Those who say cinema is dead aren’t looking in the right places. RRR,” tweeted renowned screenwriter Larry Karaszewski.

Doctor Strange writer C. Robert Cargill tweeted this in June: “Friends came over last night to initiate me into the cult of RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt) and I’m here to report I am now fully, truly, deeply a member. This is the craziest, most sincere, weirdest blockbuster I’ve ever seen. I’m pretty sure Jess and I are watching it again this week.”

Illustrator Alice X. Zhang, who has worked for many Marvel films, is another fan of RRR. She wrote in June, “So I thought there was no way this year, like absolutely no chance in hell, that there could possibly be a movie more batshit insane than Everything Everywhere All At Once…And, then I watched this. RRR is an Indian film currently widely available on Netflix (dubbed Hindi from the original Telugu)… Please trust me and watch it ASAP.”
RRR was everything everyone said. Every moment a total thrill. It takes nothing away from it to say it’s maddening that “what’s the maximum cool thing we can do with every item/location/character on screen” feels so revelatory. Delivering on ideas! Exceeding them! Hell yes!

Dune screenwriter Jon Spaihts was super impressed with SS Rajamouli’s creation. Along with a poster featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, he wrote, “Holy hell, RRR. Has any movie ever packed more movies into a movie? What a ride. Still thinking about it a couple of days later.”

And here’s what Josh Raby, Scott Derrickson, Joe Dante, James Gunn and Aaron Stewart-Ahn shared after RRR blew their minds with the OTT VFX and performances.
To celebrate my birthday last night, my wife, kids and I watched @RRRMovie — what an awesomely outrageous roller coaster of a movie. Loved it. pic.twitter.com/90U7AXJPgd

I did. Totally dug it.

This is why I respect Rajamouli for saying he’s not interested in making Marvel movies, he’s interested in making Indian movies that can stand on same level globally
— Aaron Stewart-Ahn (@somebadideas) July 4, 2022
Would love to write a movie for a movie star like Ram Charan, just to work with such a great actor and cinematic presence. But if he works in international productions he must be the lead! Hollywood usually doesn’t get that. I’m here for more great Indian movies.
