HAMPTON — An 18-year-old Sandyston resident was charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday night after he lost control of his vehicle and plowed into a home on County Road 521.

The motorist, Robert Sebecke, sustained what were described as non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Newton Medical Center, according to New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez.

Sebecke was charged with several other traffic violations in addition to DWI, according to Goez.

No other injuries were reported in the crash, which was called in to the New Jersey State Police at 11 p.m.

Details regarding the extent of damage to the house and if anyone was home at the time of the accident were not immediately available Sunday, according to Goez.

State troopers were assisted at the accident scene by volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians with Hampton Township Fire & Rescue, Goez said.
