Beginning in April, the Schuylerville Central School District will launch a Unified Sports program beginning with a month-long basketball season.

SCHUYLERVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Beginning in April, the Schuylerville Central School District will launch a Unified Sports program beginning with a month-long basketball season. Special Olympics Unified Sports connects individuals with and with out disabilities on the identical group, selling social inclusion whereas offering athletic and aggressive alternatives.

Students in grades 9-12 are eligible, with practices being held as soon as every week. Four residence video games and 4 away video games shall be performed in opposition to space college districts, culminating in a Sectional match on the finish of the season.

Students with limitations in adaptive areas (gamers) shall be partnered with a Schuylerville High School pupil on the court docket throughout play.
