The ACT Government will maintain 20 of its irrigated sports activities fields open in the course of the upcoming two-week upkeep interval to provide Canberrans an opportunity to coach earlier than the winter season.
Most fields will endure upkeep from Saturday 18 March to Friday 31 March 2023 (inclusive).

“Maintenance work has already started at some sports fields. Other sports fields that still need maintenance will close at a later date that suits the various sporting groups.
“Our relationship with sport peak bodies is important, and if this trial works well we may make it part of the normal maintenance period at the end of the winter and summer seasons.”
Sporting teams who wish to prepare at any of the open sports activities fields are inspired to liaise with their sport peak physique, who will make the mandatory preparations with the ACT Government.
The ACT Government manages 127 irrigated sportsground websites throughout the Territory, with 882 particular person hireable sports activities fields internet hosting year-round coaching and competitions.
The upkeep interval is carried out twice yearly initially and finish of the summer season sport season.
