On a slow Sharjah wicket, Punjab Kings struggled especially after KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal were off to a slow start and departed quickly after the powerplay. Then on, as it has been the case, Punjab kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Aiden Markram was the top scorer with 27.
But a lot of credit should go to Jason Holder and Rashid Khan for the way they bowled. If Rashid kept it tidy, Jason Holder scalped three wickets for just 19 runs.
