The annual spring live performance for St. Peter’s Chorus is arising this Sunday, April 30. An annual musical deal with, this 12 months’s live performance will probably be a two half affair, says Director Maxine Moore.

“This first half is around sacred music,” explains Moore. “We’ve got a section devoted to an easter theme, and the second half, we’ll call it the Canadiana performance. The music is either arranged or composed by Canadian artists. Some of them are familiar, like Gordon Lightfoot or Ian Tyson.”

The Canadian focus is large in scope, says Moore, with consideration paid to artists and composers from the Maritimes proper throughout the nation to west coast preparations.

The conventional Chorus House Band will probably be performing alongside the vocalists, together with flute, clarinet, percussion, and naturally piano.

The live performance is 3:00 pm this Sunday, April 30 at St. Augustine Church. It’s an exquisite springtime ceremony of passage that provides an opportunity for each non secular reflection and homegrown leisure.
