In the previous two weeks, the Texas National Guard has elevated its militarized footprint with Humvees, razor wire and personnel stationed with rifles alongside the border with Mexico.
Migrants have traveled a whole bunch, if not hundreds, of miles to the El Paso/Juárez border in a search of a greater life. Some had been carrying their youngsters of their arms and on their backs.
There are migrants on the streets and across the church buildings of El Paso’s outdated downtown and in different border cities. The overwhelming majority are turning themselves over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection searching for asylum.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court blocked the Biden administration’s try and raise the pandemic border restrictions, known as Title 42, and agreed to resolve in its February argument session. The restriction permits immigration authorities to rapidly expel many migrants with out permitting them to use for asylum whereas within the U.S.
