As the nation grapples with the challenges of Coronavirus pandemic, a Madurai eatery has come up with an ingenious way to increase awareness about the safety protocols regarding Covid-19. The Government of India has made it mandatory to wear masks in public spaces to prevent oneself from catching the virus. Yet, there are many who’d prefer skipping the mask or wear it wrong. A humble eatery in the Temple city has introduced an interesting delicacy in their menu that has set internet ablaze. These parottas are folded in shape of a real mask and fried until crisp. Priced at 50 rupees each, these parottas from this particular eatery near Maattuthavani bus terminus, became a social media sensation for the message attached. According to owners, they are making these special parottas to increase awareness around proper safety measures in these tough times. The mask shaped parottas became a sensation shortly after it was introduced. They also happen to have corona rava dosa and corona bonda in their menu.
