Glenn Maxwell and Yuzvendra Chahal share a special camaraderie. Quite often the two are seen having fun conversations on the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s social media channels, but fans got to witness a first-hand experience of this on Wednesday night during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In the death overs of the Sunrisers innings, Wriddhiman Saha nudged Yuzvendra Chahal through a vacant mid-wicket area and set off for a couple of runs.
Glenn Maxwell, sweeping around the boundary, ran in to pick up the ball and fire in a throw at the non-striker’s end even as Jason Holder hurried back in. Chahal, who was supposed to back up, moved aside as Virat Kohli came in from the off-side to welcome the wide throw, but the skipper couldn’t hold onto the ball.
In a hilarious moment, Maxwell immediately started shouting, all in jest, gesturing at Kohli and Chahal, imitating the RCB skipper. Chahal, laughing by then, joined in and soon stopped on his way back to the mark, and put his hands on his hips in another impression of Kohli, leaving Maxwell in splits.

The fun banter between the two RCB players has been a theme this entire season ever since Maxwell set foot on the camp. In a video shared by the RCB social media handles earlier during the first leg, Maxwell was seen making his first appearance at the RCB training camp and Chahal welcoming him with a huge hug.
The two, having played against each other a lot (Maxwell is teased as Chahal’s bunny in limited-overs cricket for the six times he has beem dismissed by the leggie in international cricket), share a great rapport and it was clearly visible in how the two were in sync to tease the RCB skipper.
