Gwen Stefani was feeling all the sentiments on Tuesday night time’s finale of The Voice, and now her husband and fellow coach Blake Shelton is giving us the explanation behind his spouse’s tears—and no, it is not as a result of her workforce misplaced to the nation crooner’s. 

In a brand new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shelton, 46, seemed again on the night time’s occasions after his artist, Bryce Leatherwood, was topped the Season 22 champion. And to high off an already emotional night time, the “God’s Country” singer was additionally reminded that it was his final time showing on The Voice stage alongside Stefani, as she is not going to return to teaching subsequent season. 

“I walked over to Gwen’s chair after the cameras went off and she’s over there literally sobbing,” he informed the outlet. “She was like, ‘This is our last time that we’re going to do this together.'” 

The married couple—who initially met on the set of the singing competition show in 2014—is not going to have one other season collectively, as Shelton’s final run in Season 23 is not going to embody his spouse. 

“You’re going to make me cry!” Shelton then informed ET for citing the subject earlier than getting sentimental about his years-long tenure on the hit NBC collection. 

“It will be the last time she and I do this together, and it is crazy to think of how the show changed my life,” he acknowledged. “I was so wrapped up in this that I didn’t even think about that, and now you’re trying to make me emotional.”
