Here’s one signal that shrinkflation is now not only a subject for economics nerds.
Cookie Monster lately complained on social media that his favourite meals was getting smaller. “Me hate shrinkflation!” the fuzzy blue monster declared. “Guess me going to have to eat double da cookies!”
President Biden promised to signal a invoice banning it throughout his State of the Union deal with.
Shrinkflation is not new.
It’s been occurring for years. But folks appear to be paying extra consideration proper now amidst excessive meals costs and inflation. And the White House is clearly conscious of that.
After years of rising costs, many Americans are fed up with paying extra and getting much less. Will the pendulum ever swing again?
