Three Maoists had been killed in an encounter with the safety forces on the inter-district border of Dantewada and Sukma in south Chhattisgarh’s Bastar area Sunday night.
The incident happened round 5.30 pm in a forest space close to a hill between Tumkapal village and Dabakunna village, round 50 km from Dantewada headquarters.
Around 4.30 pm, a joint staff of Bastar Fighters and District Reserve Guard led by DSP (anti-Naxal operations) Rahul Uikey, left Tumkapal police camp.
An hour later, when the staff was shifting in the direction of Dabakunna, an encounter happened. When firing stopped, the drive discovered the our bodies of three Maoists, carrying uniforms of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army, the armed wing of the CPI (Maoist).
