In addition to the normal University admissions requirements, the Technology Management: Technology Management Option has requirements to meet the 34 hours block of credit. Students typically meet this requirement by completing an Associate of Applied Science degree at a regionally accredited institution. This credit will automatically be applied upon submission of the transcripts to the University.

Otherwise, students can apply for this credit by submitting a portfolio for either

Option 1.) a recognized national certification or exam and two years of directly related work experience or

Option 2.) a technical associate degree or certificate from a non-regionally accredited institution.

The purpose of the portfolio is for potential students to validate that their background and experiences equate to the technical competencies gained from a related Associate of Applied Science degree. For either option, the portfolio shall be submitted to the Department of Engineering and Technology, and the faculty may require additional information if needed.

Option 1 Portfolio Requirements (Work Experience)

  • Letter stating the reason(s) for interest in pursuing a BS degree in Technology Management. This letter will be used to evaluate written communication skills.
