JAMMU: An Army officer and one jawan were killed on Saturday in a mysterious explosion along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“During a routine patrolling near a forward area in Lam sector of Noweshra, a mysterious explosion took place; it is believed to a mine blast,” official sources said.

The area where the incident took place is dotted with landmines planted by the Army to check infiltration.
The two personnel were rushed to a nearby military health facility, where they succumbed to their injuries. Further details are awaited.
