India’s canoeing athlete Niraj Verma and crew of Binita Chanu and Geetha Parvathy entered the ultimate of the boys’s 1000 m singles canoeing and girls’s 500 m kayak double occasion on the Asian Games in Hangzhou on Saturday. In the semifinal of the boys’s 1000 m singles canoeing occasion, Niraj clocked 4:31.626 minutes to qualify for the ultimate. Later, within the ladies’s 500 m kayak double occasion semifinal, Binita and Geetha clocked 2:07.036 minutes to complete second and among the many prime three groups that reached the ultimate.

The finals are scheduled for October 2.
Canoeing occasions might be held on the Asian Games from September 30 to October 7. Sprint occasions will happen from September 30 to October 3 whereas slalom races will happen from October 5 to October 7.
