Dynasts Look For Political Interest When India Faces Crisis: PM Modi In Varanasi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a rally in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi ahead of the last phase of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party, he said: “People of Uttar Pradesh don’t want ‘Parivaarwadis’. BJP will form govt in UP”, news agency ANI reported.

Targetting the Opposition, PM Modi said: “Blind opposition, continuous opposition, acute frustration, and negativity have become their political ideology. For the past 2 years, free ration is being made available to over 80 crore poor, Dalits, backward, tribals.”

“The entire world is amazed. But I am happy that the poor are happy,” he added, as quoted by ANI.

Intensifying his attack, the Prime Minister said: “When some challenges crop up before the nation, these dynasts look for their political interest in it. If India’s security forces and people fight a crisis, they do everything to make the situation more critical. We saw this during the pandemic and today during Ukraine crisis.”

He claimed that “ghor parivarvadis” are agitated by the Union government’s ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign.

“Yoga, Ayurveda have gained a lot of prominence in the whole world today, but these ghor parivarvadis (dynasts) avoid taking the name of Yoga. Congress forgot about the Khadi which was once the party’s identity,” PM Modi added.

“Have you ever heard our opponents talk about buying things made in our own country, using the things that are made here, promoting the things made here? If they were your friends, wouldn’t they talk about selling what you made?” he questioned.

Expressing confidence in the ruling BJP’s victory, the Prime Minister declared that the campaign to provide pucca houses to the poor will be intensified after March 10.

“After March 10, the work of providing gas connections to the poor and providing employment will be intensified,” he added.

The address comes as voting for the seventh and final phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly election is slated to take place on March 7.

The Uttar Pradesh election 2022 is being held in seven phases. Polling for the sixth phase was held on Thursday.

Election results for all five poll-bound states will be announced on March 10.
