The 2021 Honda Africa Twin starts at Rs 15.96 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India) and is offered in two variants – Manual and DCT. Each variant gets its specific colour scheme. The manual variant is offered with the darkness black metallic colour scheme while the DCT variant comes with a pearl glare white tricolour scheme.
The 2021 Africa Twin packs a 1084cc parallel-twin engine that offers 99 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque. The ADV also gets a bolt-on aluminum subframe and swingarm which is inspired by the automaker’s Dakar-specific CRF450R moto-crosser. The Africa Twin is lighter and more powerful compared to the previous models.
The Africa Twin also sports the new IMU (Inertial measurement unit) that controls the TBW (throttle by wire and the 7-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). Apart from these features, the improved IMU also offers wheelie control with 3 levels of input, cornering ABS with off-road preset, rear lift control, and cornering detection feature which is available in the DCT variant.
Staying true to its adventurous spirit, the ADV comes with a slim-section seat and high-set handlebars, and an optimized frame for an enhanced off-roading experience. The 5-stage adjustable windscreen, adjustable seat, heated grips, tubeless tyres, dual LED headlights, cornering lights, cruise control, and the 24.5-litre fuel tank add to the efficiency quotient of the motorcycle that guarantees utmost comfort in all situations.
In terms of tech, the ADV now comes with a 6.5-inch TFT touch screen display with Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth compatibility. The MID (multi-information display) helps the rider to manage the plethora of data while focusing on riding.
The Japanese automaker is also offering a complete range of accessories for both the variants of the 2021 Africa Twin including the top box, rear carrier, rally step, DCT pedal shifter, fog lamp, fog lamp ATT, visor, and side pipe.
