The 2020 edition of Tour de France is the most anticipated of all races in the event’s 107-year history. Amid coronavirus concerns, the event has been postponed from July for the first time since World War II. The French authorities feel that the cultural impact of the event is such that it is worth taking the risk even as the world is engulfed in coronavirus pandemic. A total of 22 teams have entered the race this year which is spread through 3,484 kilometers in some of the most alluring vistas in France. The tour reached its 17th stage on September 16 as Colombia’s Miguel Angel Lopez registered a win and climbed to third in the overall standings. The three-week-long cycling tour is set to conclude on September 20.
