On 22nd February, 2020 the autobiography of Rex Karamveer Chakra awardee Manoj Kumar Singh was launched. He has also received best motivation speaker award in 2019 by Entrepreneur Forum India. He is also awarded with Kalki Gaurav Samman in 2020 by Kalki Foundation. The launch took place in the presence of eminent guests Ms. Anshu Taravath (International athlete in kettlebell lifting), Sagar Kasana (International mountaineer), Actor Veeir Chaudary, RJ Manish Azad aka Radiowala and Dr. Harish Rawat (Guinness world record in Laughter Yoga and Founder of Lots of Laughter Yoga foundation).
The book is titled “Power In Me”. It is a life story of Manoj Kumar Singh with struggle with Hemophilia, lack of proper treatment while growing up and how this rare bleeding disorder couldn’t stop him chasing his dreams. In hemophilia, patients suffer from prolonged bleed on cut and in severe cases spontaneous bleeds into joints, muscles and tissues. Frequent joint bleeds deform the joints and lead to permanent physical disability. The book is self-written journey of Manoj with health limitations, limiting believes of the people around him and his faith in his own abilities to achieve his dreams. Overall the book shows resilience of a man born with rare bleeding disorder who believes he is born for a purpose and is working towards fulfilling that.
With this purpose Manoj has also founded Trust – Power In Me Foundation along with other hemophiliacs, his senior, friends and students. Manoj says that the trust is to celebrate the power in an individual with main objective of crating awareness about rights of the people with rare diseases to help them live a dignified life.
The book launch was supported by Alohya Agrotech, company that is specialized into organic and wellness products. Children from Amrit Varsha, NGO performed at the event supporting the cause lead by founder Ravi Tripathi.
