DOVER — East Liverpool advanced three tennis players into the district tournament after action on Monday at the Div. II sectional at Dover City Park.

McKenzie Harman advanced to the sectional final with three wins on Monday. She’ll face Claymont’s Brooklyn Poland in the sectional final today for seeding purposes.

The Potter doubles team of Sydney Cooper and Gianna Davie won two matches to reach the sectional final. They will face Cambridge’s Kara Loader and Ziciah Gibson in the sectional final today.

The district tournament will take place on Oct. 14 at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth.

The tournament consists of two singles players and two doubles teams from the East sectional and six singles players and six doubles teams from the Southeast sectional.

The top two finishers in doubles and singles play advance to the state tournament.
