LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two navy helicopters crashed Wednesday night time in southwestern Kentucky throughout a routine coaching mission, the U.S. Army’s Fort Campbell mentioned in a press release.
The standing of the crew members was unknown, it added.
The two HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, a part of the one hundred and first Airborne Division, crashed round 10 p.m. Wednesday in Trigg County, Kentucky, in accordance with the assertion, which was posted on Facebook.
“The command is currently focused on caring for the service members and their families,” the assertion mentioned.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear wrote on Twitter that “fatalities are expected,” including that police and emergency officers had been responding.
