Two Wisconsin cops have been killed in a capturing throughout a site visitors cease on Saturday, authorities stated.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice stated in a press release late Saturday that it was investigating the capturing in Cameron, Wisconsin.

An officer from the Chetek Police Department performed a site visitors cease round 3:38 p.m. and in some unspecified time in the future gunfire was exchanged with the motorist, the state justice division stated.

The Chetek officer and one other officer from Cameron have been pronounced useless on the scene. The suspect within the capturing was taken to a hospital and later died, the justice division stated.

The names of the officers and the suspect weren’t instantly launched.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss today of two officers. I am thinking of their families and the Chetek and Cameron Police Departments at this incredibly difficult time,” Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul stated in a tweet late Saturday.
