Maruti Suzuki India today launched the 2020 S-Cross in the country for a starting price of Rs 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. While it was scheduled to be introduced in March 2020, the plan got delayed in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross bookings had commenced on July 24 for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The new S-Cross will be available at the Nexa dealerships of the automaker as its flagship product and will be sold alongside Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

Powering the 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is a BS6-compliant, 1.5-litre, K-series petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 103bhp and peak twisting force of 138Nm. This is the same motor that you find in Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and has options for 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross comes with progressive smart hybrid technology and boasts of a mileage of 18.55kmpl.

The 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is available in four variants — Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Below are the variant-wise new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross prices (ex-showroom, Delhi).

S-Cross Sigma 5MT – Rs 8.39 lakh

S-Cross Delta 5MT – Rs 9.60 lakh

The 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross features a wide chrome grille up front, which is flanked by LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The fog lamps are LED units as well. At the rear, you will come across LED combination lamps. Also available are rain sensing wipers, automatic OVRMs and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin of the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, there are features like soft-touch instrument panel, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, automatic AC and 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
