Jaipur: The Rajasthan authorities has inaugurated specialised geriatric wards in 49 district hospitals throughout the state, aiming to boost healthcare companies for the aged inhabitants.

These devoted items, established by the state Health Department below the directive of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, are named ‘Ramashray’.

Health Minister Gajendra Singh had included this initiative within the 100-day motion plan.

The ‘Ramashray’ facility has been rolled out in 49 district hospitals statewide.

Speaking on the initiative, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Shubhra Singh mentioned, “‘Ramashray’ was made operational in 49 district hospitals within a short period, where special arrangements have been made for the treatment and care of the elderly,” studies IANS.

“Nursing alarm systems have been installed near beds so that in case of emergency, the elderly can immediately call the nursing staff. There are separate toilets for male and female patients in the geriatric ward, and grab bars have been installed in these toilets. Also, proper arrangements have been made for physiotherapists and physiotherapy-related equipment in the ward.”

Director of Public Health Ravi Prakash Mathur emphasised the appointment of a devoted nodal officer for every ward, entrusted with overseeing all operational points. These officers might be chargeable for managing all preparations effectively.

Furthermore, to facilitate seamless communication and accessibility, a complete listing of phone numbers for all medical doctors, nursing employees, physiotherapists, and different important personnel has been prominently displayed outdoors the ward. This measure goals to make sure swift and efficient coordination among the many healthcare group members for the advantage of aged sufferers below their care.
