Supreme Court ordered launch of Nalini Sriharan in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.

New Delhi:

Nalini Sriharan and 5 extra convicts serving a life sentence within the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case must be freed, the Supreme Court ordered at present.

The Tamil Nadu authorities had earlier beneficial their launch to the Governor, the Supreme Court famous whereas ordering their launch.

In May, one other convict, Perarivalan, had been freed by the highest court docket.

Besides Nalini, the others jailed for the 1991 assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had been Sriharan, Santhan, Murugan, Robert Payas and Ravichandran.

Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21, 1991, at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu by a girl suicide bomber of the Tamil Tigers LTTE group.
