In a stunning incident, as many as 76 college students residing at a non-public hostel in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida had been rushed to hospital as a result of meals poisoning. The incident occurred on Friday, March 8, after the scholars consumed the meals specifically ready on account of Mahashivratri. As per a report revealed by the information outlet Press Trust of India (PTI), the affected college students, who’re enrolled at completely different schools, had dinner made for Mahashivratri fast and later complained about feeling dizzy, uneasy, and vomiting. The police advised the publication that the affected college students had been staying at Aryan Residency within the Knowledge Park space and ate puris product of “kuttu ka atta” or buckwheat flour.

In a press release issued to PTI and reported by a number of information retailers, the police stated, “The local police are seized of the incident which took place on Friday evening after around 76 students had their dinner and then complained of their stomachs getting upset. All the students were taken to different hospitals and their condition is stable now.”

The police additional added that they’re probing the incident. According to PTI, a crew from the native meals security division rushed to the positioning for an inspection. Speaking in regards to the incident, an official stated, “The team will collect samples of food items and raw materials used to prepare the dinner. The samples would be analysed and legal proceedings initiated accordingly.”

A pupil named Piyush recovering at a non-public hospital revealed that they’d dinner, which was cooked individually for these fasting on Mahashivratri, and began feeling uncomfortable.
They stated, “We had dinner at around 9.30 pm. I started feeling dizzy by 10.30 pm and then went to sleep. Some friends then noticed that a lot of students had started complaining of dizziness, uneasiness, vomiting.” 

Another pupil named Kushal added that their physique “started trembling” round midnight they usually began feeling dizzy and feverish. Piyush, together with their two roommates, had been rushed to the hospital later. No additional updates can be found on the time of writing.
