PUMA has partnered with Procam International’s initiative to encourage people to create social impact and support livelihoods.

‘Sunfeast India Run As One’ is making an earnest effort of reviving the lives of marginalized communities across India by mobilising citizens and well-wishers from around the world to come together in a collective act of giving, for real social impact.

Global sports brand PUMA has partnered with Procam International’s initiative to encourage people to lead a healthier lifestyle and be a better version of themselves.

Speaking about the collaboration Abhishek Ganguly, General Manager, PUMA India and Southeast Asia said, “We want to spread awareness for an active and sporting-led culture. India Run As One is a great initiative, where on one side you can contribute to the community and on the other side, care for yourself and your family.”

The sports brand intends to amplify this movement in whatever way possible to get more people to be a part of the initiative. Amidst the uncertainty, this movement definitely brings a lot of positive energy for the country.

According to Ganguly, Sports build a sense of community and belonging, connecting people across and within societies.

“Even though today we may be physically distant from one another, deep within we are all connected on the basis of sports and sports fandom. Sporting events also help create a more active and healthier ecosystem by nurturing citizens to step up and become flag bearers for a better tomorrow.”

PUMA has also launched PUMATRAC application that is designed to help runners understand their workout needs better and realize conditions in which they can perform better.

Ganguly shared that one has to take each day as it comes. Further elaborating on his key learnings from the pandemic he said, “We need to keep evolving and adapting to changes. These are challenging times for all of us and when we come out of it, we will be stronger than ever. Communication is key during this time. My main focus has been to keep my team motivated by constantly communicating with them. It’s equally important to be nimble and flexible, so that we can change course and adopt new paths, often and very quickly.”

The initiative recently achieved a milestone of raising a whopping INR 1.18 crores in support of families impacted by the ongoing pandemic and continues to gain momentum. PUMA’s support and partnership has definitely led the movement in becoming bigger and reaching global audiences.
