In his own words:
I came back early from summer break to take Aeronautical Engineering where I learned the basics of how and why planes fly and fall in the sky. I then took a three-week PE course on pickleball  and was competing against other cadets for a better grade in the course. After graduation I hope to become a Pilot and fly real high and real fast. While going through the pandemic, I learned that plans will shift around and change at a moment’s notice, but you must keep your eye on the goal and be careful to not fall off your path.

2019 – Played and started in all 13 games … snapped for all kicking situations, punts, extra points and field goals.

 
2017-18 – Did not see any varsity action.

 
High School – Lettered four years in football and one in lacrosse … high school football coach was Damian Gonzales.

 
Personal – Parents are Rick and Karla Kirkegaard … is one of three children … attended the USAFA Prep School and played football … nickname is Kirk … majoring in military and strategic studies … member of cadet squadron 27 … would like to become a fighter pilot in the Air Force … hobby is anything outdoors … completed the class and is a member of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft squadron at USAFA … completed Operations Air Force at Nellis AFB in the summer of 2019 … also was a flight cadre for Basic Cadet Training.
