Mary Hillman won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4 and Allyson McCann earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles as Williamsport beat Mifflinburg, 5-0, in girls tennis Friday afternoon. Breanna Chicas won at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

Hughesville blanked Shikellamy, 5-0. Madison Entz won for the Spartans at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-3) and Marley Green won at No. 2 (7-5, 7-5).

Cowanesque beat North Penn-Liberty, 4-1. Megan Wattles won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2.

• In girls soccer, North Penn-Mansfield was shut out against Troy, 3-0. Troy led at halftime, 2-0. Tierney Patterson had 15 saves for Mansfield.

• Penn College has postponed all winter sports competition for the remainder of 2020 in coordination with a unanimous decision by the North Eastern Athletic Conference Presidents’ Council and Board of Athletic Directors to postpone all conference competition for the remainder of the calendar year.

“With fall competition already suspended, this decision will delay the potential start of the league’s basketball schedule until January 2021 at the earliest,” the NEAC Presidents’ Council said in a statement.

Penn College will also not participate in any non-conference competition in its three winter sports: men’s basketball, women’s basketball and wrestling in 2020.
