PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Jayden Daniels passed for 286 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Ricky Pearsall, and Arizona State used big plays to defeat No. 20 UCLA 42-23. The Sun Devils were forced to punt on their first drive before scoring on their next five to take control of the game and likely the Pac-12′s South Division. The Bruins fall to 3-2, 1-1. Rachaad White rushed for two TDs, including a 49-yard score early in the third quarter to extend Arizona State’s lead to 32-23.

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Tanner McKee threw a TD pass on an untimed down at the end of regulation to tie the game and another on the opening possession of overtime to lead Stanford to a 31-24 victory over No. 3 Oregon. McKee came back after leaving for a play on the final drive of regulation with an injury to tie the game on a 2-yard pass to Elijah Higgins after a holding penalty by Oregon in the end zone extended the game one play. McKee then gave the Cardinal (3-2, 2-1) the lead with a 14-yarder to John Humphreys in overtime. Oregon was seeking its first 5-0 starts in eight years.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — B.J. Baylor had 20 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns, Everett Hayes kicked a 24-yard field goal as time expired and Oregon State beat Washington 27-24. It’s still relatively early in the season, but Oregon State’s win combined with Stanford’s upset of No. 3 Oregon in overtime puts the Beavers (4-1, 2-0 Pac-12) in first place. Oregon State snapped a nine-game losing streak to Washington (2-3, 1-1 Pac-12) and is 2-0 in conference play for the first time since 2013.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Southern California romped over Colorado 37-14 Saturday at Folsom Field in a game pitting two struggling programs. The Trojans bounced back in a big way from their 45-27 loss to Oregon State a week earlier. That was USC’s first loss at home to the Beavers since 1960. Kedon Slovis threw three touchdown passes and Parker Lewis kicked three field goals. The Buffaloes continued to struggle under young quarterback Brendon Lewis. Colorado lost its fourth straight game and fell to 0-15 against the Trojans.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — University of Colorado athletic director Rick George apologized on twitter on behalf of football coach Karl Dorrell for shoving a photojournalist’s camera following a 37-14 loss to Southern California on Saturday. But George was criticized on social media for characterizing the coach’s shove of a the CBS affiliate’s TV camera as an interception. And the scuffling football program was also criticized because Dorrell didn’t issue an apology himself either in his post-game news conference or on social media like George did.
