On 1st March 2020, amidst the communal tension and recent riots in Delhi. In a beautiful initiative ZEE Salaam organized an Urdu mushaira, where greats of Urdu poetry came together to connect the hearts. The program was called Salaam-E-Rang where diversity is celebrated.
The essence of true India is accepting and celebrating its various diversities. The beauty of India as a nation lies into its people who live with love and harmony, irrespective of their religion, caste, color, gender or region.
The event started with introduction by Ram Mohan Sharma, popular TV anchor at Zee Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. He is also a budding poet. The theme of connecting the hearts was visible as popular poet Mr. Shakeel Jamali brilliantly held the event together. The greats of the Urdu poetry like Mr. Farhat Ehsas, Mr. Aqeel Nomani, Mr. Azm Shakri and Jouhar Kanpuri were present with their brilliant performances. The two female poets Ms. Aleena Itrat and Nikhat Amrohvi won lots of applause for their shayaris.
The audiences were treated with some real brilliant poetry and shayari from the guests and the host. Other poets who won lots of applause for their life touching and social scenario were Dr. Nirdosh Kumar Premi, Alok Shrivastav, Laikat Jafri and Dr. Shaida Aarai.
The words you use have impact on the mind and heart of the listeners. It is very important to keep yourself an alert on your words; you never know when you are burning someone’s home. In addition, maybe you have made someone’s live more beautiful. The choice is yours. This program looked to spread love and harmony all around bridging the gaps between the hearts. We wish this initiative to work and bring peace all around.
