New Delhi: In yet another attack on civilians in Jammu & Kashmir, terrorists fired indiscriminately upon three labourers at Wanpoh area of Kulgam leading to the death of two men.

According to J&K Police, one labourer has been injured and the security forces have cordoned off the area.

As per the initial report, terrorists barged into a rented accommodation where the labourers from Bihar were staying and opened fire.

The deceased have been identified as Raja Reshi Dev, Joginder Reshi Dev while Chunchun Reshi Dev is injured.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announces Rs 2 Lakh each ex-gratia from CM’s relief fund for kin of Raja Reshi Dev and Joginder Reshi Dev.

The CM also spoke to J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and expressed his concern over the killings. 

Condemning the despicable terror attack on civilians, the LG said that Indian security force will give a befitting reply to terrorists.

Reacting to the attack, BJP leader Altaf Thakur said “it amounts to genocide.”

Modi government will avenge the attack, he added.

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti also condemned the Sunday killing and said, “There are no words strong enough to condemn the repeated barbaric attacks on innocent civilians. My heart goes out to their families because they leave the comforts of their homes to earn a dignified livelihood. Terribly sad.”

This is the third attack on migrants in the Valley. On Saturday, terrorists had fired upon two non-local labourers in Srinagar and Pulwama.

Arbind Kumar Sah of Banka, Bihar succumbed to injuries in Srinagar and Sagir Ahmad of Uttar Pradesh was critically injured in Pulwama.

Terrorists had killed a school principal and a teacher in a government higher secondary school in the same area on October 7.

Two days before that, they had killed a famous pharmacy owner, M.L. Bindroo, a Bihari street vendor and a taxi driver in a series of attacks on civilians.
