Scugog is now accepting nominations for the community’s sports hall of fame.

The Scugog Sports Hall of Fame is looking to honour those who have played a significant role in building a sport in the township or individuals who have given of themselves to promote sports in Scugog.

Nominations will also be accepted for accomplished athletes or teams whose achievements should be recognized or pioneers who worked behind the scenes in the first five years of establishing a sport in Scugog.

Scugog did not state a deadline for submitting nominations.

The 2022 ceremony for the next slate of hall-of-fame inductees is slated for Thursday, April 21 at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre, 1655 Reach St.

The Scugog Sports Hall of Fame Committee was established in 2007 with the goal of formally recognizing Scugog’s sporting history and traditions through the induction of local athletes, teams and builders.
