And now, as the remains finally reach the Kantheerava Stadium, all the fans and admirers father in stunning numbers to bid their Powerstar an emotional good.

Several videos have now surfaced online showing the intense gathering and many were, reportedly, waiting for a very long time to pay their respects to the late actor. Being prudent, the state government too was in full preparation to accommodate the request and has employed a strong security force in and around the stadium. As per reports, close to 6000 police personnel have been deployed along with 40 KSRP platoons, city armed reserve and RAF. Among those present were many eminent personalities, including C.M. Basavaraj Bommai.

Prior to reaching the stadium, Puneeth Rajkumar’s remains were first taken to his residence in Sadashivanagar from the hospital. Many close friends and relatives of Puneeth were allowed to pay their last respects to him.

The tragic passing of Puneeth Rajkumar, who was easily one of the most beloved people of the state, has shocked everyone around and the government, recognizing his stature and commitment to the region, has announced to conduct his last rites with full state honors. According to IANS, the final rites will be performed upon the return of Puneeth Rajkumar’s daughter Vanditha from the United States.
