Jamshedpur, Oct 31:  The East Singhbhum chapter of the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) was constituted on Sunday during a meeting at Sarkar Yoga Academy in Kadma. Anshu Sarkar, chief patron of PEFI’s Jharkhand chapter and senior vice-president Smicky Sarkar were present as observers at the time of constitution of the district chapter. Coordinator of Jharkhand Chapter, Manoj Mishra, President Renu Kumari and Secretary Alok Chaudhary were also connected to the proceedings through virtual medium.

President Renu Kumari provided information on the working of the institution, while Secretary Alok Chaudhary and State Coordinator Manoj Mishra asked the newly nominated office bearers of the committee to work hard in this area. Anshu Sarkar said that this committee was committed to promote sports not only at the district level, state level but also at the national level. Smicky Sarkar advised the District Committee to work on a common agenda.  District committee constituted today included (Chief Patron) Ravi Soni, (President) Subal Chatterjee, (Senior Vice President) Lakshmi Padia, (Vice Presidents) Amitesh Kumar and Ajay Kumar Mahanty, (Secretary) Swapan Kumar Sao, (Asst Secretaries) Namita Bhattacharya, Poonam Wadhawan, Sharmila Kumari and Manju Agarwal, (Treasurer) Dulal Patra and (Jt Treasurer) Saurabh Nath. The executive committee members elected were Tarun Kumar Mandal, Jayshree Chakraborty, Bobby Kumari, Shikha Sharma, B Vishwanath Rao and Kumari Kritika.
